Day 245: Jackson 09/04/2011
Sunday, September 4, 2011
Scott and I went to a Labor Day Weekend gathering at my friend, Nicole's home. Her son Jackson is the sweetest boy I've ever known. Warming up to me took about 1 minute and then next thing I know he's giving me hugs and a kiss on the cheek (without prompting from Nicole). He's a charmer!

Day 241: Nighttime Gardening 08/31/2011

Ahhhh! Slightly out of focus because it was too dark. I need to get home sooner for my Armatage 365 photo days!
Day 240: Washington Avenue 08/30/2011
Tuesday, August 30, 2011
Scott and I went on a Minnesota Historical Society (MHS) event called Washington Avenue- History Pub Crawl which involved riding a trolley-like bus around Washington Avenue while a MHS employee shared historical stories with us. We made two stops for adult beverages - Stone Arch Bar inside of The Depot and The Loop in the North Loop neighborhood.
Day 239: Claire in chalk 08/29/2011
Monday, August 29, 2011
Scott and I both took the day off of work since he had spent the previous week working 12-hour overnight shifts in Chicago. It was a beautiful day and this was taken on our evening dog walk which took us by Susan B. Anthony school. They must have done sidewalk chalk art as part of their first day back to school.
Day 238: Vianka the Glam Girl 08/28/2011
Sunday, August 28, 2011
While sipping on sangria at el Meson in the CARAG neighborhood of Minneapolis, a couple, Dan and Katy, and their Chihuahua, Vianka, sat next to us. It was great meeting them and Dan told me about a performing arts group I hadn't heard of before, Rhythmic Circus. He is a musician and travels internationally with them.
Day 237: Emotion 08/27/2011
Saturday, August 27, 2011
Scott and I spent part of our Saturday morning at the Midtown Farmers Market. They had a hula hooping contest for little kids which turned out to be a great photo opportunity. This young hula hooper was rocking it during the practice round. Unfortunately, her hoop touched the ground pretty early on in the actual competition. After trying to shrug it off, her emotions took over and she covered her face as she cried. It took quite a while for her mom and the leader of the contest to console her. It was pretty heartbreaking to watch.
